Godzilla

Marcello Adragna, aka “Godzilla” is a DJ with a passion for music defined by deep bass and raw percussion.
Active in the Italian hardcore punk scene of the early 90s, he played bass for Distilleria 76 and co-founded the industrial ensemble Zazzamita.
In 1996, as a pioneer of the Italian scene, he founded the Godzilla Sound System in Bologna, featuring massive speakers and high-powered amplifiers controlled by a preamp handmade in London by the legendary soundman Jah Tubby.
In 1997, he opened the independent recording studio Dubzilla.
A dedicated vinyl digger, mixing engineer, and producer—as well as a regular at flea markets and record stores—he has never stopped hunting for albums and singles, amassing a collection of around 8,000 titles.
Completely immersed in music—24 hours a day, 365 days a year—his DJ sets are inspired by the mood of the moment, drawing from funk, jazz, soul, reggae, dub, Brazilian MPB, early house, and Mediterranean sounds. It is music for open ears and hearts, free of expectations other than the thrill of being surprised track after track.
