Based in Bologna, Sicilian DJ and selector Ssaramood approaches music as an ongoing process of research and connection. What started through vinyl digging gradually evolved into a wider exploration of groove-oriented sounds, rhythmic structures and electronic music as a collective and physical experience.

Becoming part of Bologna’s underground scene marked a turning point in her relationship with DIY culture and electronic music. Within this context, she joined Sumo Music, a collective and cultural platform oriented toward UK bass sounds and contemporary electronic music, active in organizing events and fostering more conscious spaces within the city’s nightlife.

Her sets move through jungle, breakbeat, UK sounds and footwork, while remaining open to house, leftfield electronics and rhythmic influences drawn from tribal percussion and more organic musical traditions. Rather than following fixed trajectories, her selections tend to develop instinctively, shaped through tension, movement and the constant dialogue between sound system and dancefloor.
