araUKana

Araukana is a Venice-born, Bologna-based DJ, radio host and event organizer whose practice sits at the intersection of underground club culture, sound research and independent radio.

A co-founder of WHP Warehouse, a Bologna collective that helped shape the city’s DIY electronic music scene since 2012, he is also the founder and curator of RMR RADIO, an independent platform dedicated to adventurous music, cultural research and visual arts.

After joining Rough Radio (Rome) with his show Risonanze Magnetiche Nucleari, Araukana became a monthly resident on Subtle Radio London, where he hosts Magnetic Resonances. Broadcasting from one of London’s most respected underground radio stations, the show reflects his ongoing exploration of deep, psychedelic and forward-thinking electronic music, rooted in the UK’s rich sound system culture.

His selections drift across ambient, downtempo, jungle, halftime, bass music, breakbeat, dub, leftfield electronics and techno, drawing strong inspiration from the evolution of British electronic music. Built around narrative flow rather than genre boundaries, his sets blend immersive atmospheres, low-end pressure and hypnotic rhythms into journeys that privilege deep listening as much as the dancefloor.
