Sacrobosco

Giacomo Giunchedi first approached electronic music in 2014, with the electrowave trio Torakiki. Sacrobosco project was born in 2020, reviving that experience after a period dedicated to other sonic fields, drawing on the live performances he had collected over the years (including Ypsigrock, Gondar, NIM, and Fruit Exhibition in Italy, and Mein Haus Am See and Barkett in Berlin). In 2021, he released Both Sides Of The Sky, his debut album, on Sussidiaria, the label owned by Daniele Carretti (Offlaga Disco Pax, Felpa, Magpie). In 2023, he joined Italian well known independent music label Trovarobato, with whom he released the mirror albums IVXVI and IXVXI, characterized by a greater use of analog instrumentation for an IDM interweaving of jazz samples, which inaugurated a live collaboration with Paolo Raineri (Ottone Pesante, Junkfood) on trumpet. In 2024, he founded Antinational Noise, an electronic and experimental music label that released his albums Apes + Tigers in 2025, inspired by the lo-fi sounds of the cassette mixtape, and Dreamlike Places in 2026, in the name of minimalism between microhouse, downtempo and ambient, spatial and cinematic dilations, urban suggestions and nocturnal landscapes, as well as based on reworkings of field recordings and realized through granular synthesis, sampling of acoustic instruments, and the use of sound elements from YouTube. Giunchedi is also a member of the techno-ambient duo sea:side.
