Jorge Eahfm , founder of the label, says:

— What originally pushed you to start Secuencias Temporales?

I wanted to share intelligent, meaningful, emotional music made with heart and soul, free of charge

— Was there a specific emotional or artistic void you were trying to fill?

Not really; quite the opposite, actually. I was—and still am—deeply inspired by music created with good intentions, and I wanted people to be able to share these feelings

— Your releases often feel deeply visual and cinematic: do imagery, landscapes or films influence your curation?

I have always regarded the label as a multidisciplinary project, as art in all its forms is interwoven and interwoven into the many nuances of the music we release, not merely as a source of inspiration; although most of our artists are sound artists, composers, engineers or sound designers, they are also often professionals in different fields such as visual artists, painters, programmers, modellers, or dedicate their lives to some form of art that blends with their musical creativity

Furthermore, we at the label strive to release concept albums that evolve coherently in both energy and sound, so there is hard work involved on the part of both the artist and us at the label in many aspects of each release

It’s not simply a matter of releasing music.

We also ensure that the cover art visually conveys the energy of each album—usually something serious and elegant, yet characteristic of the label, where the musical focus lies in sonic textures; in turn, in the art department, we centre everything on textures of nature, whether in a micro or macro perspective.

— Do you see the label more as an archive, a platform or an evolving narrative?

It took hard work over many years to build a well-established sound for the label; of course, it wasn’t something done on the sly, quite the opposite—it was well planned.

Whilst we do have a well-established and clear narrative from release to release, I also believe it has become a musical archive of the world (in small ways) due to the extensive artistic and musical collection, as well as the select yet broad group of artists we have had the honour of releasing
